2/28/09 - Cassel, Vrabel to Chiefs for 2nd Round Pick

Kansas City now has a dependable 12-year veteran linebacker and a young up-and-coming quarterback. They received Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel from the Patriots for a mere 2nd-round pick. This makes a huge impact on mock drafts, seeing that a lot of people had Kansas City taking a quarterback. Luckily, mine did not, and I have Sanchez dropping much further than most. Cassel spent one year as a starter in New England and went 11-5, which looks like a good start for Kansas City on their rebuilding.

2/16/09 - Baltimore Ravens part ways with Chris McAlister.

The Baltimore Ravens released CB Chris McAlister today, after earning three pro-bowl appearances with the Ravens. He was due to make $8M this year and is suspected to be the first of a few salary-cap casualties of Baltimore.

1/27/09 - Updated Mock Draft for 2009! Find it on the Mock Draft page.

I have just updated the mock draft for some changes in the draft stock and team needs.

1/20/09 - Get a look ahead with the just-released 2010 mock draft here.

I have just released the 2010 mock draft, with a look ahead to the next year. Check it out and tell me what you think.

1/16/09 - Sanchez declares for NFL draft:

Mark Sanchez

Mark Sanchez out of USC has declared for the draft. Word is that Pete Carroll is not happy or "peeved" about his decision to leave after one year of starting at USC. In my opinion, this is a good decision for him, seeing that Sam Bradford has decided to stay for a senior season. He will probably go high this year because he will be one of the few good QB prospects coming out of this year's draft. Mark stepped under season for the first time this year after playing backup for John David Booty last season. Most likely Sanchez will be the second QB taken, after Matthew Stafford. Many believe he could have raised his stock by gaining another year of college experience, one of those people is me.

1/14/09 - Bradford, Gresham - decide to return to Oklahoma for another season:

Jermaine GreshamSam Bradford and Jermaine Gresham have both decided to return for another season at the University of Oklahoma. They were both projected to be first round picks. Their team lost in the BCS National Championship this year to Florida. My guess is that they are teaming up together to try to make another run this year. Only problem is, Florida's Tim Tebow and Brandon Spikes decided to stay as well. We might end up having a rematch in 2010 with both teams returning a lot of starters. Bradford was projected as my #3 overall pick, and Greshman my #22.

1/13/09 - Tebow, Spikes - both return to Florida for Senior year:

Brandon SpikesThe Florida Gators just won thier second BCS Championship in 3 years. It looks like they are trying to repeat. Tim Tebow was the Heisman trophy runner up, and winner of the 2007 Heisman trophy. When he won the Heisman in 2007, he stated he would be playing all four years at Florida. He delivered on that. He also delivered on his mid-season promise that he would "push himself and his team harder than any another team" following the loss to Ole Miss. Brandon Spikes was projected to go mid to late first round.
